RSS Feed Readers are a great way to convince students that the innovations of Web 2.0 have made it possible for the Internet to do some of their research for them. Students can add their feeds to their own personal websites or their research hubs, or you could even create a class wiki that they could each add to and check. Not only can students subscribe to most major syndicated publications this way, but they can also subscribe to subject-specific blogs, or they can even set Google News to send their any current news story that has certain search terms to their feed. As long as they are checking it daily, this is where students can get some of their most timely sources and information and is another example of entering one search term and seeing what path it will lead you down.
